Why Do We Hurt Ourselves?

When i was @ other schools we didn't get detention for not doing our home work. it just effected our grades really badly. I would never do my homework, but pass all the tests we took. in the end i still got a bad grade and had to go to summer school. thats one way i hurt myself badly.
For students who dont want to "hurt" themselves just do/turn in all your work. Be it homework or classwork, just dont fall behind on it. Even if it is late turn it i. i mean 5 points out of 10 points is better than 0 points.
The letter Mr. Hsu sent out really made sense to me. and it was true for alot of people including my self. i know i used to do the same thind when i was in middle school. I agree with what he said because it relates to many different people on so many different levels.

Grading time. whipe!

A)Well my grades are great except for the c plus but in "ok" with that. my mother will be so proud of me.
B)i can improve my grades by doing better on quizzes (getting more a's instead of b's) and participate more.
C)My grades are way way way better than last years.

Halloween dance!

Well i can say for my self that i had a really really nice time at the dance. Ya know, people at the this skool are so unappreciative. I mean they complain about all these things they want and how they need more freedom, but when the oprotunity is directley in there face, they just pass it up. It is so stupit! Why complain! We(i say we only because were a team or something like that)complain and complain and complain about something we want, then we finally get it and what do ya know know one wants to go. All i heard was"oh theres no one but our school going, then im not going" and "im not going if we cant bring any one" and "Its going to be stupid any way"
Its like when we finally get what we want we complain about that also. MAN im gonna pull my hair out j/k. But serious guys we need to be more appreciative and act more like young adulst or else no one will listen to what we say. I've made up a lil' something "a closed mouth will never get fed, but a fed mouth will continue to be hungry" my quote means that a someone who never speaks up, or expresses what they want/feel will never be taken seriously. But a mouth that is fed will sometimes make it a habbit or a cycle to continualy want more and more even if what they want is right in front of them.
